Cycling Rallarvegen

A bright, blue, end-of-summer sky greeted us in Haugastøl on Saturday afternoon. We had chosen the best weekend to cycle the Rallarvegen, a Norwegian bike trip classic.
As an enthusiastic team of 10, we departed soon after renting our bikes and made our way to Finse first, where the sun and pastries kept us longer than ideal. We continued on reluctantly and, after a few picture- and rest-stops, reached Hallingskeidhytten, our place for the night. Here, we had some perhaps slightly over-peppered pasta and played card games (don't remember the name, but it was pretty fun –someone remind me, please!), before going to sleep.
The next day, Sunday, was smooth sailing, mostly downhill to Flåm, enjoying ourselves, and trying tricks on the bikes –luckily nobody fell! We reached the town of Flåm a bit after noon, and finally relaxed and treated ourselves to some nice food –deservedly so, I would say.
