Randohelg i Jotunheimen

01 - 03. May 2025

After some last minute trip leader changes, we were off to our Airbnb in a cozy house at Lustrafjorden. On Thursday morning however, the grey and rainy weather damped our excitement for skiing somewhat. Nevertheless, we drove to Turtagrø and started our tour up Lauvnostinden. 200 meters below the top, the fog got so thick that we decided to make our way down through incredibly sticky snow. To make up for the less than ideal skiing, we had a nice sauna evening and very good Chili afterwards!

On Friday, the weather wasn’t much better and our attempt up Store Durhaugstind was cut short as well.

Finally, on Saturday we woke up to a sunny sky! As Sognefjellsvegen was closed because of too much snow, we went up Store Lauvnostinden again. This time, we went up in the sun and could enjoy the amazing view of Hurrungane! Even better, snow conditions had improved drastically and we went up another time to get more skiing! On the way back to Bergen the sun was still out, so we stopped for a short topptur on Vikafjellet on Sunday.

Thanks to everyone who joined!
