The plan is to take the bus to Bondhus and hike up to the spectacular Fonnabu cabin, with around 1,400 m of elevation gain. On the way, we can stop by the lake at around 800 m for a break and maybe a refreshing swim. At the cabin, we will spend the evening together, enjoy the views, watch the sunset and admire the Folgefonna glacier. Depending on the group and the conditions, we may also bring glacier equipment and spend some time exploring the glacier before hiking back down the following day. Polina is doing a PhD focused specifically on the Folgefonna environment, so it will also be a great opportunity to learn more about the glacier and the surrounding area. Join us for a social and relaxed weekend with a long day outdoors, spectacular scenery and a cosy cabin evening.
